Hyderabad: A painter fell to his death after getting electrocuted while working at a house in Nacharam on Friday. The victim Patnaik Laxmi Narayana, 26, suffered burns to his stomach and died while being shifted to a hospital for treatment, said the police who booked a case of suspicious death.
According to the Nacharam police, Laxmi Narayana, a resident of Babanagar in Nacharam went to work at the house of Md. Imtiyaz Ali’s house in Durganagar. He was at the site for the last two days along with four others.
At about 12.30 pm on Friday, while painting the walls on the first floor of the house, Narayana was electrocuted and he fell down. He received burns and was immediately rushed to Prasad Hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Based on a complaint lodged by Prakash Rao Patnaik, the victim’s father, a case has been registered under Section 174 of IPC and the body was handed over to his family after a post-mortem.
