Hyderabad: 4 drug peddlers arrested for smuggling ganja
Hyderabad: In the last two days, four drug peddlers were arrested by the excise department for transporting ganja.
According to the police in two different incidents they arrested four peddlers. In the first case, they intercepted two persons named Surender Singh, 23 and Mahesh Singh, 29, both residents of Dhoolpet near Tappachabutra old police station. Reportedly, the accused were transporting 1.1 kg of dry ganja following which they arrested the culprits, another peddler named Vijender Singh was absconding.
In the second case, the excise sleuths arrested two persons named Pavan, 21 and P Sravan Kumar, 20. They were nabbed while transporting 1.2 kg of dry ganja. When questioned, they revealed the name of the main supplier Mahender Singh; a manhunt was launched to catch the supplier.
The original case papers and the four accused along with the sealed contraband were handed over to SHO Prohibition and Excise Station, Dhoolpet for further action.
