Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy seeks debate on snooping row

Hyderabad: Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has demanded that Centre’s decision to monitor online content has to be discussed in Parliament before being implemented.

Mr Reddy told mediapersons, “In the national interest, the Congress will definitely support the decision taken by the BJP. But, it has to be discussed in Parliament. This kind of decision may invade the privacy of citizens.”

On protecting the party in the state, Mr Reddy said, “The AICC should take up reforms in the party in the state. Keeping in view of the forthcoming elections the Congress should be strengthened.”
