Nellore: District administration has been gearing up to give wide publicity for unique and popular annual event, Flamingo festival in the neighbouring Tamil Nadu and Karnataka states. Disclosing this to the officials involved in the arrangements at Sullurpeta, Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore joint collector A. Md. Imtiaz has called for coordination among the officials for the success of the three-day festival.
After inspecting the ongoing development works and paintings on the walls at Sullurpeta town on Thursday, he underlined the need to speed up the works and suggested some modifications. He told the officials to install hoardings with the pictures of birds on the national highway to draw public attention to the event. Nayudupeta revenue development officer Seena Nayak, Sullurpeta Tahsildar Srinivasa Rao, municipal commissioner Rajagopal and civic body chairperson Nuleti Vijayalakshmi were present.
