Kerala High Court rejects petition seeking removal of CM Pinarayi Vijayan
The petitioner stated that the Chief Minister had lost the right to continue in the post in view of the remarks made by the court.
Kochi: Kerala High Court on Thursday rejected a petition seeking to disqualify Pinarayi Vijayan as the Chief Minister in the wake of its observation on the collective cabinet responsibility. R.S. Shivakumar, a former member of the Kerala University Syndicate, filed a petition in the light of the remarks by another bench of the high court in connection with the case filed by former transport minister Thomas Chandy.
The petitioner stated that the Chief Minister had lost the right to continue in the post in view of the remarks made by the court. The court had earlier rejected a petition seeking a similar action against the four ministers of CPI for abstaining from the cabinet meet.
