Perambalur: The sleepy village of Velur in Perambalur district came alive with renewed hopes as its son of the soil and former Union Telecom minister, Mr Andimuthu Raja and others including DMK MP, Ms. Kanimozhi, were acquitted in the sensational 2-G spectrum allocation case by a special court in New Delhi on Thursday. Mirroring the new optimism of the people of Raja's native district, S Rajednran, DMK's Perambalur district secretary now in Delhi told DC over phone that “It is a great victory for the party as well as for Mr Raja.” “This is a death-blow to those who wished for destroying DMK,” he said.
