Nellore: As part of the investigation into the properties of Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary P. Rama Mohan Rao, two teams of income-tax officers raided the house of his son’s father-in -law D.K. Badri Narayana at Lakshmi Nagar Colony in Chittoor on Wednesday.
Mr Badri Narayana is the brother of late DK Audikesavulu Naidu, liquor baron, TTD member and former Chittoor MP. Incidentally, I-T officials had conducted joint raids on the properties of TD Chittoor legislator D.K. Sathyaprbha, the wife of Audikesavulu Naidu, at Chittoor as well as in Bengaluru three months back and seized a huge volume of unaccounted income from the institutions run by the legislator.
Rama Mohana Rao’s father Lakshmi Narayana was an RTC driver and the Chief Secretary’s two brothers live in Tamil Nadu.
The Chief Secretary holds and MA in economics and MCom in cost accounting.
Rama Mohana Rao had worked as a part-time lecturer in commerce at the popular Jawahar Bharati Degree College in Kavali town in Nellore district in the early 1980s before he was selected for the civil services, sources in the college said.
Rama Mohan Rao donated funds for construction of additional classrooms in the ZP School at the village. He used to visit the village for Sankranti with his family every year.
