Bengaluru: FIR against MLA Yogeshwar in Mega City scam
Bengaluru: The Bengaluru police have registered an FIR against Channapatna MLA and former minister Yogeshwar and four others in connection with Mega City scam.
The MLA is accused of collecting money from one Fakruddin for allotting a site in the residential township project promoted by him. He is further accused of not allotting Fakrudding a site or refunding the deposit amount.
Fakruddin had approached the court seeking a probe into the matter, following which Sampangiramanagar police registered the FIR under Sec 34, 418, and 420 of the IPC. Yogeshwar, his ex-wife Manju Kumari, P. Mahadevaiah, C.P. Gangadhareshwara and H.R. Ramesh have been named as accused in the FIR.
Fakruddin had stated in his complaint that he had bought the site no 171 measuring 1200 sqft in Vajragiri Township in Hampapura village in Kengeri hobli developed by Mega City (Bangalore) Builders and Developers Ltd (MDBL). He states that he paid the deposit money for allotment of site, but till now neither has he been allotted the site nor the money has been refunded by the developers.
Following the scam, there were several criminal cases filed before courts seeking investigation into the case of large-scale fraud and cheating of investors by Mega City (Bangalore) Builders and Developers Ltd (MDBL).
