B S Yeddyurappa chides Karnataka CM for hotel stay

He said: the C M said he needs to devote time to his private life, and stays in a private hotel which is nearer to Vidhana Soudha.

BENGALURU: State BJP president B. S .Yeddyurappa on Wednesday charged Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy with running the government from a private hotel.

He said: “the Chief Minister said he needs to devote time to his private life, and stays in a private hotel which is nearer to Vidhana Soudha. There is no correlation between the Chief Minister's statement and his style of functioning. The CM often said he does not want to burden the state’s exchequer, but spends lakhs of rupees for the hotel stay and use of private cars. It is left to the CM to answer the people of Karnataka.”

Mr Yeddyurappa said running the government from private hotel tantamount to showing disrespect to the late chief minister Kengal Hanumanthaiah, as Vidhana Soudha was built during his tenure.
