Tadikonda fuels spread of capital's realty business
GUNTUR: The realty business is spreading to areas outside of the new capital Amaravati. The Guntur-Amaravati road is the main way to reach new capital Amar-avati and temporary Secretariat,Velagapudi. After the secretariat started functioning, realtors are shifting their business to this stretch. Land at Tadikonda, had initially, met with good demand, anticipating inclusion of the area in the new capital. When that did not happen, the realty business there collapsed. After a long gap, the business is now restarting in Tadikonda and adjacent areas, as many are preferring land on the main road to the new capital.
The Secretariat at Velagapudi is 18-km-away from Tadikonda and the Guntur-Amaravati road passes through Tadikonda. The realtors are expecting Tadikonda to be good for business.
A realtor, K. Phanibushan said that compared to Amaravati, the plots in Tadikonda, Lam, Gorantla and areas adjacent to Guntur-Amaravati highway are less priced. This is the main way to the Secretariat and Amaravati. So there are takers for land there.
APCRDA officials led by the APCRDA vice-chairman had removed illegal layouts, which halted realty business for a long time. Now, developers are setting layouts, getting required permissions. Interestingly MLA K. Sreedhar, who is into the realty business through his two companies, has also started some ventures here.
Every Sunday people are coming to the area, looking for plots. The plots and lands at Tadikonda cross roads, Pedaparimi road and adjacent areas are attracting the public. A trader, Y. Seshaiah said, “We cannot purchase the lands in Amaravati for Rs 15 lakh, Rs 30 lakh and Rs 45 lakh according to the size, but plots are available here.” He said in future there are chances of Amaravati spreading to 30-40 km like Hyderabad and these areas would become valuable.
