Dr G Parameshwar appears before I-T Dept again
BENGALURU: Former deputy chief minister Dr G. Parameshwar appeared before Income Tax (IT) department officials in the city on Monday. The IT officers grilled him on various issues that surfaced during the raids conducted on his residence, offices and educational institutions in the city and Tumakuru.
According to sources, Dr Parameshwar sought 3 days to submit documents on cash seized during the raids and financial transactions in medical and engineering colleges owned by him. It is said that the management of colleges owned by Dr Parameshwar had collected crores of rupees to allot medical and engineering management quota seats. Dr Parameshwar was let out after hours of questioning. The IT department after analysing the documents will summon him again for questioning, source said.
