Hyderabad: State Congress leader Gudur Narayana Reddy condemned caretaker minister K.T. Rama Rao’s remarks against AICC president Rahul Gandhi after his public meetings on Saturday. “Mr Rama Rao said that the Congress had stalled the development in the state. If that is true, he has to prove the allegation,” Mr Narayana Reddy said.
Speaking to mediapersons on Sunday, Mr Reddy, said, “The minister came across as a liar. Mr Rahul Gandhi had spoken about vacant jobs and Mr Rama Rao said that they had got clearances from the finance department. He didn’t answer why the vacancies were not filled in the TRS’ four-and-a-half year tenure despite getting sanction.”
The Congress leader said Mr Rama Rao tried to portray that the farmers in the state are happy.
He said, “By targeting Mr Gandhi, Mr Rao was trying to cover up the anti-Dalit face of the TRS which was exposed by the Congress president during his speeches. Why did Mr Rama Rao not speak about Mr Chandrasekhar Rao’s promise of a Dalit chief minister?”
