Hyderabad: More than 200 life convicted prisoners with good conduct and who have completed at least 7 years in jail will get relaxation during the Republic Day.
The committee, chaired by inspector-general of prisons Mr Akula Narasimha, has submitted a report to the director-general of prisons Mr. Vinoy Kumar Singh.
Mr Singh said that that over 200 prisoners would be given relaxation under remission. “We have already prepared recommendations with the list of identified prisoners. We are sending the list to government and the home department may make modifications.
