Hyderabad: The attack by TD Rajya Sabha member T.G. Venkatesh on American Senator H. Trent Franks will put the NRI community, particularly from the two Telugu states, living in the US at risk Prof. Kancha Ilaiah said.
The MP had asked whether Americans would keep quiet if their religion or ancestors were targeted. This was in reaction to a submission made in the Senate by Mr Franks on the attacks on Prof. Ilaiah.
Prof. Ilaiah asked why Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had not suspended the MP from the party. Mr Venkatesh had recently demanded that Prof. Ilaiah be hanged.
