CM mulling granting houses to police: DGP Sambasiva Rao

Home minister China Rajappa urged the public to treat police personnel as their own family members and said their sacrifice is invaluable.

Vijayawada: DGP Sambasiva Rao said policing is a challenging job and needs complete dedication. Mr Rao, home minister Chinarajappa and others paid rich to police martyrs here on Police Commemoration Day on Saturday.

Mr Rao said that police were fighting against the Maoists risking their lives and said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is contmeplating to provide houses to police personnel. He reiterated that the police department is dedicated to the safety of society more than their families. “The sacrifice of the martyrs should be respected,” he said.

Home minister China Rajappa urged the public to treat police personnel as their own family members and said their sacrifice is invaluable.

Mr China Rajappa said the government was providing all necessary support to the families of martyrs. He said the police department was providing the best services to the public using the latest technology.
