Students’ campaign in University of Hyderabad hots up

HYDERABAD: The election season at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) campus has begun in right earnestness with various students’ associations forming their alliances and kick starting their campaign.

Significantly, this time around, the Students’ Federation of India (SFI), Ambedkar Students’ Association (ASA), Tribal Students’ Federation (TSF) and Dalit Students’ Union (DSU) have formed a grand alliance against the attempted ‘saffronisation’ of the university. On its part, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has formed an alliance with Other Backward Classes Federation (OBCF) and Seva Lal Vidyarthi Dal (SLVD).
