Hyderabad: The Congress leaders are planning to approach their senior leader and actor Mr. K. Chiranjeevi to ask him to campaign during Telangana elections. The Telangana Congress leaders believe that the charisma of Mr. Chiranjeevi would benefit the party more. However, Mr. Chiranjeevi is said to be busy with a movie shoot, but the leaders are planning to give it a shot anyway. Though there was some talk that Mr Chiranjeevi is Seemaandhra leader, the party is of the view that his glamorous movie image would help.
Speaking to this newspaper, TPCC general secretary and convener of election campaign committee Mr. Sravan Dasoju said, “If Mr. Chiranjeevi campaigns, it would be wonderful. He is our senior leader, his charismatic appearance will be an added advantage. We are soon going to invite him for this.”
