Hyderabad: RTC to start 3,600 special buses
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is shifting alighting points and terminals to outskirts in the city for its special buses.
This is part of the efforts by the RTC not to disturb the traffic in the city. The city traffic wing has also taken up this initiative to shift private buses to the outskirts.
E. Yadagiri, Ranga Reddy district regional manager of TSRTC said that apart from regular services, the RTC will be operating 3,600 special buses from the city to various destinations in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
“Regular buses from Adilabad, Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts will come to the Jubilee Bus Station and Kham-mam buses will not reach Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station as arrangements have been made for a terminal at Central Bus Station near MGBS. Buses from Warangal and Yadadri will come up to Uppal Cross Road. The buses from the Andhra region and Vijayawada, Mahbubnagar and Rangareddy districts will reach only MGBS,” he said.
Officials from TSRTC said that special buses will charge 50 per cent more compared to regular services.
