Hyderabad High Court rejects plea on G1 interview

TSPSC counsel said that as per the apex court order candidates must appear for all the papers in the main examination and oral test.

Hyderabad: The High Court refused to entertain a petition by an aspiring candidate seek a direction to the TS Public Service Commission to allow him to appear for the interview for Group-I. The interviews were held from July 24 to August 10.

Justice S.V. Bhatt was dealing with an vacate stay petition filed by the TSPSC dismissed the plea of city resident T. Kartik Reddy challenging the commission’s decision to reject his candidature for the interview to Group-I services.

In July, another judge had passed an interim order directing the TSPSC to allow Mr Kartik Reddy to appear for the interview and reserve a post for him.

Aggrieved with the same, the commission filed a vacate petition submitting that it had rejected the petitioner's candidature as per the orders of Supreme Court.

TSPSC counsel said that as per the apex court order candidates must appear for all the papers in the main examination and oral test. The petitioner did not take the six papers of the mains.
