Thiruvananthapuram: Three doctors held for hostel ruckus

They were charged with trespassing and causing ruckus.

Thiruvananthapuram: Three doctors were arrested by the Medical College police here on Wednesday on charges of trespassing into the UG men's hostel. The arrested included junior doctor of a private hospital and two PG doctors of Thiruvanan-thapuram Medical College Hospital. They were charged with trespassing and causing ruckus.

The accused were identified as Pab-in Pious, 29, of Kacheri in Kollam, Nithin Geor-ge, 29, of Mukundap-uram in Thrissur and Vipin V Pillai, 30, of Nillackal in Alappuzha.

Pabin Piuos is a junior doctor with a hosp-ital in Kallambam and Nithin George and Vip-in V Pillai are PG Doc-tors at Thiruvanantha-puram Medical College Hospital.The alleged incident happened on Sunday night. They picked up fights with the inmates and warden of the hostel. In the complaint submitted by the hostel warden with the police , it is alleged that these doctors vandalised the hostel.

As per the complaint Pious, a former student of the Medical College, who passed out in 2008 started the problem at around 10 p.m on Sunday night after he walked into the hostel compound with a beer can in his hand and urinated inside the compound. When a few inmates questioned him, he picked up a fight with them. and vandalised the chairs in the mess hall.
