Changanassery: Assumption College, Changanassery, defeated St Joseph's College, Irinjalakuda, 56-36 in the final of the Assumption Golden Jubilee Memorial All Kerala Inter-Collegiate Women Basketball Tournament at the Assumption College flood-lit indoor hall.
In the final, Assumption beat St Joseph's College with Joma Geju with16 and Jaylakshmi scoring 14 for Assumption. Angelina Sunny led the score for St Joseph's with 9 points. Best player is Jayalakshmi V.J.; promising player- Joma Geju and promising player from runner-up Aleena.
Guest of honour were Dr Aravind Kumar (pro vice-chancellor MG University, O.K. Vineesh, vice- president, Kerala Sports Council, international referee and manager of Assumption College, Rev Dr Philips Wadakekalam.
