Telangana Parents Association protests engineering fee hike

The JAC also demanded that the state government should intervene and control the colleges.

Hyderabad: Telangana Parents Association (TPA) announced a joint action committee on Tuesday by parents to fight the exorbitant fees and to intervene for the quality of education in engineering colleges. Engineering fees should be reduced and CBIT notice should be withdrawn, demanded the JAC. At the same time, around 500 engineering students from CBIT continued their strike on the college campus on Tuesday.

The JAC said that it supports the student’s agitations in CBIT and elsewhere and requested the parents to submit a mass representation to the management on August 25 at CBIT. The JAC also demanded that the state government should intervene and control the colleges. Mr N. Narayana, JAC Chief Advisor, said, “We will fight the exorbitant fees, we appeal to all engineering colleges to not to insist on additional fees.”
