Water from KRS dam yet to reach Tamil Nadu

. The inflow level stood below 1,000 cusecs without any changes at the time of filing this report.

Krishnagiri: As many as 5,000 cusecs of water released into the Cauvery river from Karnataka’s KRS dam has not reached Tamil Nadu on Sunday. Sources said that Karnataka released 5,810 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu from KRS dam in Mysore. Outflow from the KRS which was below 1,000 cusecs a few days ago, was gradually increased to 5,810 cusecs as reported on Saturday by the Karnataka’s PWD office.

On Sunday, it was expected to enter Tamil Nadu via Biligundulu in Krishnagiri district and where the Central Water Commission office records the inflows. The inflow level stood below 1,000 cusecs without any changes at the time of filing this report. Water release from the neighboring state will reach Tamil Nadu in the early hours of Monday.
