IMA: Khan reveals big names, ED to summon netas, bizmen
Bengaluru: I Monetary Advisory (IMA) Managing Director and kingpin of the multi-crore investment scam, Mohammed Mansoor Khan, who is in the custody of Enforcement Directorate (ED), has revealed the names of a few politicians and businessmen who were involved in his business.
The ED sleuths who took Khan into their custody on Saturday questioned Khan till late night and resumed it again on Sunday morning.
Sources said that Khan has also revealed the names of politicians and government officials who had taken bribes from him. He told his interrogators that he had documents to prove the business dealings of politicians and the businessmen with him.
The sources said that ED officials may issue notices to these politicians and businessmen.
ED officials have also learnt about the business Mansoor Khan set up in Dubai along with his partner Abbas. According to sources, the ED is planning to seek an extension of Khan's custody, citing the gravity of the case. Khan's custody with ED ends on Tuesday.
Mansoor admitted to hospital
ED officials on Sunday evening took Khan to Jayadeva Hospital after he complained of chest pain. He was admitted and the treatment is going on, the sources said.
Khan was earlier taken to Victoria Hospital for a check-up. When the tests were going on, he complained of chest pain which was confirmed in the ECG report. He was immediately taken to Jayadeva Hospital amidst tight security.
