Institute of Preventive Medicine delays putting up reports online
Hyderabad: Reports on water testing and action taken by the Institute of Preventive Medicine are not being regularly updated on their website. The website results show the reports and action taken only till April last.
Mr B. Anjaneyulu, water analyst, said, “Water testing is carried out twice to ensure that the right analysis is updated. Hence for the team to compile the report and submit it to the computer operations department takes time.”
The backlog is as long as three months. A senior officer said, “The team is understaffed presently and also there is not too much interest to upgrade these reports. There is no proper monitoring and questions asked about why the latest numbers are not put up and due to no accountability there are very little questions asked.”
IPM director Dr Amrinder Reddy stated that he would look into the reason for the long time gap and work out ways to reduce it.
