Cyberabad traffic cops use Pak cricket captain Sarfaraz’s yawn pic

Hyderabad: Pakistan cricket captain Sarfaraz Ahmed’s yawn during the World Cup cricket match against India last week has caught the attention of the Cyberabad traffic police.

In a humorous post, the police featured the picture of Ahmed yawning, which has gone viral since the defeat of Pakistan, and told drivers, “Don’t drive when you are sleepy.”

 

In a new post, the Cyberabad police said on its Twitter handle: “Do not force yourself to drive a vehicle when you are sleepy. Yawning is always an alert for dangerous driving.”

The post caused mixed reactions. While a few appreciated the police for their humour, other social media users asked them to pull it down.

The handle Vigilant eagle said, “Good sense of humor from traffic team. Thanks for spreading awareness Isic).”  Shyam said, “A serious message conveyed in a jovial tone (sic).”

Vasudeva Rao added, “We know who is in the picture. Very subtle humour in your message. Great job team (sic).”

 

Some netizens took offence. Twitter handle Shaik Asif said it was uncalled for, “How shameless that one from the department, You don’t have manners (sic).” To this the Cyberabad traffic police replied: “Sir, Mazak bananeki baat nahi hai. Ek message dena chahre. Why can’t you take this in a positive way (sic)?”

The moment the post was released it was widely circulated with multiple retweets and likes.
