Hyderabad high court moved against TS, AP power secretaries

The two Telugu states under the Contempt of Courts Act for not implementing court orders with regard to allocation of employees.

Hyderabad: Employees and engineers working in the TS power utilities have moved the Hyderabad High Court seeking to punish the principal secretaries, energy, of the two Telugu states under the Contempt of Courts Act for not implementing court orders with regard to allocation of employees.

Mr M. Narasimhulu, chief general manager of TS Southern Discom, and four others moved the plea stating that a division bench in February this year had directed the governments to constitute joint committees and determine the modalities for the division of the employees within two months. They said no joint committee had been constituted in respect of distribution companies, which was wilful violation of the court orders.

They urged the court to punish principal secretaries, energy, Ajay Mishra (TS) and Mr Ajay Jain (AP), southern discom CMDs G. Raghuma Reddy (TS) and M.M. Naik (AP).
