Bengaluru: The storm has blown over in the JD(S) with Higher Education Minister G.T. Deve Gowda, who had not assumed office because he was upset with the portfolio allocated to him, set to take charge on Friday.
Deve Gowda, who emerged as giant killer, defeating former CM Siddaramaiah in Chamundeshwari, was eyeing the excise and APMC portfolios. That may not happen with Kumaraswamy convincing the minister who has just passed Class Eight, to accept the portfolio allotted to him.
