Yoga for body, mind: N Chandrababu Naidu

Mr Naidu called upon everyone to practise yoga everyday as it is a gift of our great ancesters.

Vijayawada: Third International Yoga Day was observed across the city in a large scale. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and state ministers participated in a special programme officially organised by Ayush department of AP state government. Mr Naidu called upon everyone to practise yoga everyday as it is a gift of our great ancesters. “Yoga which is confined to India has become global with the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and more than 177 countries are practising Yoga,”he said.

Mr Naidu said that one can overcome stress by practising yoga and 84 different asanas in yoga can help to lead healthy life. He called upon the public to develop positive thinking as he always believes in it which gave positive results in developing the state. The Chief Minister announced a cash deposit of '5 lakh to Ekambara Jyotsna who performed special yogasanas and assured her help from the culture department. Walkers clubs and civic associations have organised special camps and shopping malls in the city tried to encash in on the Yoga Day craze with special offers.
