Thiruvananthapuram: Director of Public Instruction (DPI) has issued an order on staff fixation by 'the sixth day'.
It makes it clear that a division will be sanctioned for 30 students for Class I to V, 35 students for Class VI to VIII and 50 students for Class IX and X. The staff fixation will be completed before July 15.
As per the order, a second division can be sanctioned for classes one to five if the school have a student strength between 31 and 60, a third in case of students between 61 and 90, a fourth if the student strength is between 91 and 120 and so on.
For classes six to eight, a second division will be sanctioned if the student strength is between 36 and 70, a third division if it is between 71 and 105 and a fourth if the student strength is between 106 to 140.
For classes nine and ten, a second division will be sanctioned if the student strength is between 51 to 95, a third division if the student’s strength, is between 96 to 140 and a fourth division if the student strength is between 141 to 185.
Headteacher post will be sanctioned for LP schools having classes one to four and classes one to five if there are 150 students.
For UP schools having classes five to seven a headteacher post will be sanctioned if the student strength is 100. For UP schools having classes one to seven a headteacher post will be sanctioned if the student strength is 150 or if classes five to seven have more than 100 students.
The order has also warned schools of strict action, including criminal cases, against principals and teachers using UID numbers of other people for manipulating student strength.
