Madras HC directs police to probe cheating by ex-transport minister's kin

Closing a petition from Gopi, a complainant, Justice P.N.Prakash also directed the deputy commissioner of police, CCB, to monitor the probe.

Chennai: The Madras high court has directed the assistant commissioner of police, Central Crime Branch, (job racketing) to take over investigation into complaints alleging that relatives of the then state transport minister Senthil Balaji had collected Rs 2.31 crore from 81 persons promising to get them jobs as drivers and conductors in transport corporation and cheated them.

Closing a petition from Gopi, a complainant, Justice P.N.Prakash also directed the deputy commissioner of police, CCB, to monitor the probe.
