Anglo Indian MLA Elvis Stephenson supports fee concession
Hyderabad: Anglo Indian MLA Elvis Stephenson supported the demand asking concession for poor Catholic students in minority institutions. He urged the Bishop and clergy to instruct schools.
He also condemned Saturday’s attack on Archbishop Thumma Bala and said any demand had to be sorted out through peaceful dialogue. The Catholic Association of Hyderabad (CAH), condemned the incident but at the same time supported the long-pending demand of reservation to Catholic students in all minority institutions. MLA Elvis insisted a proper procedure must be followed while approaching the Archbishop.
“We want 10 per cent reservation in total seats and another 10 per cent should be given 50 per cent fee concession. This should be implemented across all the Catholic institutions,” he said.
