Hyderabad: RTC driver killed in road accident
The driver of the bus failed to notice an ongoing truck which had slowed down due to a speed-breaker and rammed into it.
Hyderabad: An RTC bus driver was killed and 10 passengers survived injuries when the bus they were travelling to Hyderabad rammed into a vehicle near the Pantangi toll plaza on the Vijayawada–Hyderabad highway in Choutuppal during the early hours of Tuesday.
When the RTC bus which was heading from Vijayawada to the city with around 35 passengers, reached the Pantangi toll plaza in Chuotuppal, the driver of the bus failed to notice an ongoing truck which had slowed down due to a speed-breaker and rammed into it.
Due to the speed of the bus, the driver, Srinivas Rao, 52, died on the spot, while two passengers suffered fractures on their legs.
