Dinesh Gundurao, Zameer Ahmed slam Roshan Baig

Dr G. Parameshwar said it was his personal opinion while KPCC president, Dinesh Gundurao, made no secret of his annoyance over the statement.

Bengaluru: While Congress Legislature Party leader, Siddaramaiah preferred not to make any comment on the critical remarks by former minister Roshan Baig against the state leadership, Deputy CM Dr G. Parameshwar said it was his personal opinion while KPCC president, Dinesh Gundurao, made no secret of his annoyance over the statement.

Speaking to reporters here, Dr Parameshwar said, "It is his individual opinion. What he has felt, he has expressed. It is his personal stand. State Congress President, Dinesh Gunduro will analyse it."

Mr Rao said the party would ask for an explanation. "I think it is a sad reflection on a person like him to use such words in public, it shows complete lack of culture. Why is he talking after the exit poll?," he questioned angrily.

"It is a sign of selfishness. It is nothing but political opportunism. His statements speak of rank political opportunism. We are hoping for good results. I do not know, why he is talking even before the chicken has hatched," he caustically remarked.

Roshan Baig's rival in the Congress, Zameer Ahmed quipped that Baig had chanted Siddaramaiah's name from 2013 to 2018, when he was minister in his cabinet. "How can the same person be termed a villain now?" he questioned and wondered why the same individual should get a berth every time the party comes to power?
