Hyderabad: Mayor Bonthu Rammohan on Sunday directed deputy commissioner, medical officers and town planning officials to follow a comprehensive plan with zeitgeist before going for development projects.
Speaking at the commencement of a special training camp for officials from the three sections at Dr MCRHRD, the mayor asked officials to have frequent interactions with citizens to identify civic problems at the division and ward level. This, he said, would assist them in resolving the problems in the preliminary stage. “Taking tactful decisions and honesty lead to increase in reputation of the civic body. Good governance and team work by officials has given the GHMC top position in the Central government’s Swachh Sarvekshan,” he said.
The Mayor said that it was the first council of the GHMC or in erstwhile MCH which is free of any controversy or contradictions between officials and Council. “So far, we had no adjournments in council meetings or even in ward committee meetings. Coordination between administration and council led to the record,” he said. Deputy Mayor Mr Baba Fasiuddin, Commissioner of GHMC B. Janardhan Reddy, Deputy Commissioner Ms. Mamata and others took part in the programme.
