Bengaluru: A demand for a house by a visually impaired family, non-payment of wages for work done under NREGA, rice for APL card holders and non-allotment of gomala land despite court orders.

These are some questions posed by people from different districts to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who participated in phone-in-programme organised by All India Radio, Bengaluru, on Saturday.

Mr R S Khan from Periyapatna taluk said his wife, two children and himself were visually impaired but they did not have a house. Moved by their plight, Mr Siddaramaiah assured that he would talk to the deputy commissioner, Mysuru, and local legislator Venkatesh to provide a house in the town at the earliest.

Mr Eshwar from Raichur district complained that he had not received payment for work done under NREGA. He said payments were irregular, and handed out once in six months and one year. He received the payment recently for work completed last year. Promptly, the Chief Minister noted down the name of gram panchayat concerned and promised to take up the issue with the deputy commissioner.

Mr Vijaykumar from Bidar requested the CM to set up a FM radio station for his district as demanded by everyone. Mr Siddaramaiah said he would write to the Union government in this regard.
