Hyderabad: Eamcet aspirants now take daily mock tests

Even as authorities are deliberating on a fresh date for the exam, students have shifted focus towards the entrance test.

Hyderabad: With clarity that there will be no NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) this year, medical aspirants in Telangana are gearing up to write Eamcet (medical test) again.

Even as authorities are deliberating on a fresh date for the exam, students have shifted focus towards the entrance test. Coaching institutes are getting queries seeking information about their plans for the exam.

“They want us to conduct mock tests and doubt clarification sessions so that their preparation and momentum are not lost. Since the syllabus is the same, students are keen on tests on a daily basis until the day of the test,” a coaching faculty from Narayana Institute said.

“After the Eamcet test on May 15, medical aspirants took a break from preparation for almost five days until the Centre announced its decision. We want to resume our preparations at the earliest. Now that the reading part is not needed since there is no new syllabus to cover, it is advisable to appear for as many mock tests as possible,” said K. Dileep, an aspirant.

Due to demand from parents and students, most of the institutions are planning 15-day batches for medical aspirants. “There will be a daily test, with the Eamcet pattern and results will be out within two to three hours of the test. This will be the schedule for the next two to three weeks,” a faculty member said.

Meanwhile, official sources said a fresh date was likely to be announced on Monday or Tuesday.
