State police tighten security in Telangana over SL blasts

They further reassured safety to the people of the state and suggested that they may continue to visit religious places fearlessly.

Hyderabad: Following the attacks on churches in Colombo, the state police have reviewed security conditions at the major installations and religious places. The police said that although no specific alert has been issued by the Centre in connection with the attacks, the force is equipped and ready to prevent untoward incidents.

They further reassured safety to the people of the state and suggested that they may continue to visit religious places fearlessly.

A senior police official said, “So far, we have received no alerts in connection with the incident that took place in Sri Lanka. Hyderabad is completely safe, and the people need not worry about their security.”

Another police official said, “We have received no specific alert so far. However, we have reviewed the security conditions at religious places and other major installations.”
