Hyderabad: When member of Hyderabad School Public Association (HSPA) filed an RTI on an inquiry to find out the complaince status of the CBSE schools, it was found that the Board does not compile such information. It was revealed that CBSE does not compile data on how many schools comply with its critical instructions.
It did not have any information if action was taken against any school for non-compliance. According to HSPA, CBSE had issued a Circular on September 29, 2016 asking all CBSE schools to disclose details like fees, teachers’ strength and their salary. A portal for schools to disclose details was created but CBSE has said it does not compile such data. M. Pavan Kumar Reddy member HSPA said, “CBSE only gives affiliations, issues directions and circulars which are not enforced.”
