Hyderabad: Paradise, KFC, other hotels to be removed

The infrastructure development is part of the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP).

Hyderabad: Besides Shilparamam, Paradise Hotel, Ohris and KFC outlet located outside the premises, near Shilpakalavedika also will have to be closed while the construction of the flyover would be on, claimed officials. The GHMC team has verbally informed the concerned and given the deadline for the same as June. The planned flyover will offer considerable relief from traffic jams while reducing the fuel consumption. The infrastructure development is part of the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP).

The stall owners, while agreeing to the proposal, have requested to reduce the period of closure of Shilparamam. Work on the the flyover has begun near the Srujuna mall and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Also, work on the Mindspace junction – which lies at the core of the IT hub — is in full steam. Nearly 14,400 vehicles pass through Mindspace every hour. Also proposed is a unidirectional underpass at Ayyappa Society junction. This 450-metre long and 10-metre wide underpass will help traffic move from Ayyappa Society to Kondapur and vice versa.
