Entities ready as work on track: Google given land, Apple to have campus

Reviews under way to develop infrastructure for the project.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has already started works for improving resources at proposed ITIR project clusters. The government has developed largest cluster E-City across the country at Raviryala village in Ranga Reddy district in 600 acre of land.

Google has already been given land for establishing its biggest campus outside US. It would generate nearly 20,000 employment in its new campus at E-City. Similarly, renowned IT company Apple is also seeking land in TS for setting up its campus. Renowned cloud and networking firm D-Link is also seeking 4 acres of land at E-City.

The government has already allotted lands to Micromax (9 acres), Celkon (11 acres) and Kalyani Group (7.5 acres) for mobile phone manufacturing units.
Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) VC&MD Mr. E.V. Narsimha Reddy told DC that Amazon was allotted land at Gachibowli and it is seeking one more acre for setting up its data centre.

“Presently Micromax, Celkon and Amazon are operating their research and development units outside India. They have approached to establish their R&D and data centres in TS,” he said.

He said that reviews were being continued with HMDA in developing infrastructure for ITIR project. “We are holding reviews for developing radial roads, providing water to the project area, power supply and other infrastructure. It was a proposal to extend MMTS services up to Shamshabad. But, the demand has been raised for Metro Rail,” he said.
