Bengaluru: Armed men loot petrol bunk
BENGALURU: A gang of four armed, masked men allegedly struck at a petrol bunk early on Monday morning and made away with cash Rs 2.5 lakh in Basavanagudi. The incident took place around 3.30 am at Raj Petrol bunk opposite National High School.
The gang, brandishing lethal weapons, came to the petrol bunk and threatened to attack the employees if they refused to part with the money.
Sensing danger, the employees handed over the cash box to the miscreants, who then fled the spot.The employees informed the bunk owner and also complained to the police.
The Central police registered a case and are conducting an investigation. The police are also trying to verify the footage from the CCTV cameras installed nearby.
Bike-borne gang robs Rs 9 lakh
A supervisor from an Indian Oil petrol bunk was allegedly waylaid and robbed of Rs 9 lakh cash by four unidentified men in broad daylight in Yelahanka police limits.
The victim, Vishwa, was heading towards HDFC Bank around 1 pm to deposit the daily collection when the criminals struck. Vishwa stated in his police complaint that the four men on two bikes intercepted him.
The two pillion riders threatened him with weapons, threw chilli powder into his eyes and fled with the cash bag. By the time, passersby rushed to his help, the criminals fled, the police said. Yelahanka police have registered a case of robbery and are conducting an investigation.
