Hyderabad: The AP government has decided to shift employees from Hyderabad to the capital region in a phased manner, with co-operation from employees’ unions.
AP municipal minister P. Narayana and chief secretary S.P. Tucker on Monday held a meeting with employees union leaders.
The government proposed to shift about 4,000 employees by June 15, and another 3,000 each in July and August. Employees union leaders have accepted the plan.
The government wants to complete the construction of two floors in the temporary Secretariat by June 15.
After the meeting, minister Mr Narayana told the media that the employees have agreed to shift base to the capital region in a phased manner.
The government has decided to construct two more floors for the temporary Secretariat, being constructed at Velagapudi in capital region.
