Hyderabad: Speeding car hits divider, no injuries
Hyderabad: A speeding car hit a road divider and overturned on Saturday midnight in Banjara Hills. Five women in the car, including the driver, escaped unhurt. Police imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on the driver for speeding.
Police said the women, all residents of Abids, attended a wedding in Jubilee Hills and were returning home. Around 11.30 pm, when the car reached KBR Park, Afreen who was driving lost control and crashed into a road divider.
“Later, the car overturned and fell on the other side of the road. Passersby who heard them screaming, rushed to the spot and helped them,” said Banjara Hills SI Goverdhan Reddy.
However, none of them was injured. Police said the incident happened due to over speeding and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on driver Afreen for rash driving under Section 184 of the AP Motor Vehicles Act. Other passengers in the car were Arshia, Zaheena Begum, Pooja and Aliya. No case was registered.
