Haryana

Though an extremely influential community, Marathas have been demanding reservation for some time now. Last heard in 2015, the Bombay HC had said that there will be no separate reservation
Gujarat
The Patels agitated for reservation in last July with 22-year-old commerce graduate Hardik Patel at the helm. However, even after riots, arrests,
curfew and eight deaths later, the demand is yet to be fulfilled.
Rajasthan
In 2008, Gujjars were demanding Scheduled Caste status instead of their current OBC status. 15 people killed in the stir.
Andhra Pradesh
In first week of February, Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham ended his indefinite fast, demanding quota for the community, after “assurances” from the Andhra Pradesh government, including allocation of Rs 1,000 crore annually to the Kapu welfare corporation. Padmanabham said the government has assured him it would obtain the report of a commission on backward classes (for inclusion of Kapus in BCs), within seven months instead of nine.
