Vijayawada: Rajahmundry Urban MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana, along with his wife Akula Lakshmi Padmavathi, joined Jana Sena in the presence of its president Pawan Kalyan, here on Monday.
Along with thousands of followers, they joined Jana Sena. The party supremo cordially invited the duo by offering the party scarf. Pawan Kalyan informed that he is whole-heartedly inviting them into the party fold.
Mr Akula Satyanarayana, who won the Rajahmundry urban seat on BJP ticket in 2014 elections, had resigned the BJP’s primary membership and the MLA membership, after deciding to join Jana Sena. Earlier, Mr Akula Satyanarayana reached Vijayawada in a big rally, comprising 300 cars, from Rajahmundry, with his fans and the Jana Sena cadre.
The Rajahmundry Urban MLA said that he would contest from any constituency as per the directions of Pawan Kalyan and believes that Pawan Kalyan would cleanse the political institution. He further said that corruption free administration is only possible with Pawan Kalyan, since high-level corruption is prevalent in welfare schemes, as of now. He clarified that he joined Jana Sena Party trusting Pawan Kalyan as the only leader who is thinking beyond castes and vote bank politics, apart from being capable of delivering an efficient and transparent administration, unlike some politicians .
Earlier, at the party office in Vijayawada, Bommidi Naicker, leader of Fishermen community from Narsapuram, joined Jana Sena.
