Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Friday held discussions with top Cuddalore district officials and took part in a cleanliness drive as part of the Swacch Bharat' initiative.
THANJAVUR: Tamil Nadu governor Banwarilal Purohit will inaugurate the 171st Aradhana of the saint composer Sri Thyagaraja at 6 pm on January 2, 2018, at the saint's samadhi on the banks of Cauvery at Thiruvaiyaru near Thanjavur.
A press release issued here by the Sri Thyagabrahma Mahotsava Sabha which organises the annual Aradhana festival said that the Aradhana to be held from January 2 to 6, will be inaugurated by the Governor.
Pancharathna kritis of the saint will be sung in chorus on January 5, Pushya Bagula Panchami day when the saint attained Samadhi at 9 am, by musicians.
