Jaya's video row: Arumugasamy committee files complaint against former MLA Vetrivel
Meanwhile, Washermenpet police also registered an FIR against Vetrivel on the complaint given by the election department.

CHENNAI: Arumugasamy committee probing former chief minister Jayalalitha’s death filed a police complaint against former MLA Vetrivel for releasing a video footage of Jayalalitha in hospital, on Wednesday.
The committee, which lacks authority to take actions on any individual contravening its directions and unresponsive to its summons, resorted to police. “The committee had notified earlier that anyone who poses evidence regarding Jayalalitha’s death could submit before the committee”, sources close to the developments said.
According to a committee official, Vetrivel’s action of releasing video is blatantly contravention of the committee’s notification. “Committee secretary Panneerselvam has filed a complaint in Anna Square police station to take action against Vetrivel,” the official added.
Meanwhile, Washermenpet police also registered an FIR against Vetrivel on the complaint given by the election department.
Former Chief Secretary and advisor to the government, Sheela Balakrishnan who appeared before justice Arumugasamy on Wednesday reportedly deposed that she had seen Jayalalitha only four times during her 75-day stay at the hospital.
