Industries in Sri City following safety norms: Pithani Satyanarayana

Pithani Satyanarayana said his ministry will act as a bridge between the employer and employees.

Nellore: Minister for labour, employment, training and factories Pithani Satyanarayana said his ministry will act as a bridge between the employer and employees. He was speaking at the inaugural of a two-day seminar on ‘Building Safety Culture in Industries’ at Sri City on Wednesday. Stating that it is a collaborative seminar and not an enforcement session, he said, "I am happy to note that all the Sri City-based industries are strictly implementing all the safety norms and labour laws prescribed by the government."

Welcoming the minister and other distinguished guests, Mr Ravindra Sannareddy, founder and managing director, Sri City, traced the growth of the business city and thanked the state government for the support being extended. Addressing the gathering, Satyavedu MLA Talari Aditya said that because of its excellent performance, Sri City enjoys a preferential treatment from government.

“Because of Sri City, Satyavedu came into limelight. I feel proud that it is in my constituency,” he said. Joint commissioner of labour (Seema) said all companies there were in compliance with the labour laws. Rayalaseema Region) Srinivas mentioned, “All companies here are in strict compliance with prescribed labour laws, and hence, there is no need for our interference.” The conference was jointly organised by the factories inspectorate and management of Sri City, involving all the stakeholders, including government departments of factories and labour welfare and industries in the region.
