CM pulls up ministers for their absence:

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu pulled up the ministers reacting to the article published in Deccan Chronicle on December 19 with the title “Ministers ignore Naidu’s Friday diktat”. He clearly instructed the ministers to be present at the Secretariat on Fridays at any cost to redress the public grievances. He asked for prior intimation and asked to take permission if they are unable to attend the secretariat.

This issue has come for discussion on Tuesday at the Telugu Desam workshop. Post-bifurcation, the people of AP are struggling to meet a minister to submit their grievances. In this regard, the Chief Minister has directed the ministers and heads of the departments to make sure of their presence on Fridays at the Secretariat.

But no minister has cared for it which has been reported by Deccan Chronicle in detail. With this the Chief Minister has reacted seriously in the conference and warned the ministers to be present in the Secretariat on Fridays at any cost.

Focus on graft in high places:

The TD government has conducted an internal survey on corruption in government departments. The survey results said the revenue, police and transport departments are very much corrupt. With this, the Chief Minister has held elaborate discussion in the TD workshop held here on Tuesday.

It is learnt that Mr Naidu warned the leaders for posting the officials taking bribes would lead to this kind of unethical practices which in turn had drastic impact on the government and the party. He also hinted MLAs that there are reports stating MLAs’ involvement in unethical practices along with officials. He mentioned that the party is not going to consider and spare such leaders.

According to sources, the Chief Minister’s Office has received many complaints from public, intelligence officials, a few of the leaders on different departments involved in corruption. With this, the Chief Min-ister has ordered an internal survey which proved the corruption. Simultaneously, the CMO also conducted a survey on graft with a private agency which projected the highest corruption in revenue department standing on the top, next being the police department and third the transportation department.

The survey reports say that corruption is starting right from the posting of RDOs and tahsildars in the revenue department involved in land disputes and settlements, postings of sub-inspector to deputy superintendent of police in the police department involving in civil disputes, black-mailing, filing cases intentionally on the innocent, involvement and collecting commissions from liquor and sand mafia.
